Õpetaja Viktoria kohta
I started playing piano since I was 5 years old. I mostly played by ears and started improvising very early. Then I started to discover that I can play in any way. At my MA program I started to discover the inside world of the grand piano, playing on the strings, applying various objects, creating unique sounds. I am a big fan of John Cage and I combine free jazz with contemporary modern extended techniques. I also travelled a lot living in different countries and I have released free jazz albums the last year we released in Gothenburg with our duo with Canadian drummer and we plan to be released on New York 577 record label as we received good feedback. I had lots of concerts In Sweden, Lithuania, France and Estonia. Based in Tallinn.Both individual off line and on line forms of studies are welcome. I prefer to teach on student's instrument

I teach freedom in approaching the instrument. First we try to play by ears some simple tunes. I also give exercises for playing various rhythms and intervals with both hands. Then I show that there are no bad sounds, when trying to play by ears we start improvising, creating our own interpretation of the music. Usually there is lots of fun. I prefer to teach beginners who are not spoiled by academic or music school approaches. I used to work mainly with elder teenagers or grown ups. I also try to open the music personality, find smth unique and personal. So we also listen to lots of good music (free jazz and experimental contemporary composers)
