I have been working in adult education for more than 10 years, and teaching is something I genuinely enjoy. What motivates me most is seeing progress — when a student becomes more confident, overcomes a language barrier or finally achieves the goal they came to me with.
I believe that successful learning starts with motivation. That is why at the beginning I always want to understand: What is your goal? Why do you need Estonian? What is difficult for you, and what has or hasn’t worked before? From there, we build a realistic strategy together.
I speak four languages — Estonian, Russian, English and German — and I am fascinated by how languages work and connect with each other. This helps me explain Estonian from different perspectives and understand many of the difficulties language learners face myself.
For me, teaching is not just about passing on knowledge. It is about helping someone find the most effective way to learn, stay motivated and see that their goal is achievable.

My lessons are highly personalised. I create learning materials and texts adapted to each student’s level, goals and way of learning. I am genuinely interested in understanding how each student’s mind works and use this to build an effective learning strategy.
We work online via Zoom and speak a lot during every lesson. We develop functional reading skills, learn grammar through practical use and vocabulary in context, read and analyse texts, practise translation into Estonian and work with real-life language.
My aim is not simply to explain grammar rules, but to help students understand how Estonian works and learn to use it confidently in speaking and writing. For exam preparation, we also systematically develop the specific skills required for the B1, B2 or C1 exam.
